Rafael Perez is the Director of Forensic Engineering at SE Group, where he leads the firm's structural and civil facility assessment practice. With extensive experience evaluating existing buildings and infrastructure systems, he specializes in forensic investigations, building condition assessments, and capital planning support for commercial, residential, and institutional properties.

Mr. Perez conducts structural and civil evaluations of existing facilities, including foundations, structural framing, site infrastructure, and building envelope systems. His work focuses on identifying structural deficiencies, assessing long-term performance risks, and developing practical repair and rehabilitation strategies. He regularly prepares condition assessment reports and capital improvement plans in accordance with ASTM E2018 standards, supporting owners, property managers, and institutional clients in long-term asset management and lifecycle planning.

As leader of SE Group's forensic engineering sector, Mr. Perez oversees multidisciplinary assessments involving structural systems, building envelopes, site infrastructure, and drainage systems across multifamily, commercial, and mixed-use developments throughout the Southeast.
